For this project, I wanted to design a race of dryders or spider people for a Fantasy IP. I took inspiration from Green Bottle Blue Tarantulas, choosing them for their bright distinct colors. Which is an uncommon in dryder designs which are often designed based off of Black Widows. In my initial design phases I experimented with balancing the human v.s Spider traits. Eventually deciding to give them more spider like mandibles than human jaws to make them feel more monstrous.
